About

The Llama

The Llama Wine is a project born in the north of Argentina, inspired by the wisdom of llamas, who teach us that perseverance is the path to achieving our goals.

Our handcrafted wines are made from the most emblematic grapes of Argentina, grown in high-altitude vineyards in the Valle de Cafayate, Salta Province. To preserve the purity and freshness of the fruit, our wines are crafted without oak intervention, highlighting the vibrant flavors that flourish in the far north of Argentina.

With optimal flavor concentration and bold, funky labels, The Llama is designed to captivate a new generation of wine enthusiasts.

Malbec

With an intense red color and purplish glints, The Llama Malbec reveals aromas of ripe plums, black pepper, and subtle spicy notes. On the palate, it’s pleasantly smooth, with soft, sweet tannins and a long, harmonious finish.

Versatile and approachable, this Malbec is perfect for sharing with friends or pairing with red meats and charcuterie for a laid-back yet refined dinner.

Rosé

Crafted in the Provençal style, The Llama Rosé is made from Syrah grapes with a short maceration, achieving a delicate color and elegant profile. It offers subtle aromas of red berries and floral notes, with a refreshing acidity that makes it both crisp and refined.

Perfect for warm days or as an aperitif, this rosé captures the spirit of Cafayate with a touch of French elegance.

Torrontés

A wine defined by its distinctive floral aromas, The Llama Torrontés entices with notes of exotic fruits and a vibrant freshness on the palate. Crisp and aromatic, it offers a lively experience that captures the essence of Cafayate’s high-altitude vineyards.

Ideal for those who appreciate expressive and refreshing wines.

Authenticity
& Origin

Grown at over 1,700 meters above sea level and close to the Tropic of Capricorn, The Llama Wines capture the essence of one of Argentina’s most exclusive wine regions—responsible for just 2% of the country’s total production. The combination of high altitude and low latitude in the Valle de Cafayate creates a singular microclimate: intense sunlight, wide temperature swings, and low humidity.

These conditions enhance the grapes’ natural acidity, flavor concentration, and aromatic complexity, while also offering a unique advantage in the face of climate change. The cooler temperatures at high altitudes help preserve the freshness and balance of the wines, making each bottle of The Llama a true expression of this rare terroir.
